April Barran is a Certified Licensed Educator, an Associate Professional Counselor in Georgia and Illinois, Director of Mardellaâ€™s Way, Inc., and the President of Barran Professional Products & Services, LLC. She graduated with a B.A. in both African American Studies & History from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Masterâ€™s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, and currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University. She has worked for the McDonaldâ€™s Corporation, World Savings & Loan on a Managerial level, and various other positions. Her current focus in on African American studentâ€™s success in urban areas by providing free academic and life skills services.
